Salt, sauce or both? At Bar、Soleil, choosing the seasoning is part of ordering the special fried chicken set meal. Mayopon is another option, and the set costs ¥950. Fried chicken is also available on its own in portions of 3 or 5, whether you want a full meal with rice or a snack to go with a drink. The menu describes the salt-seasoned pieces as freshly fried and crisp, while the sauced version is large and juicy. Choose the combo to try both, or salt for a cleaner-tasting option.

Lunch also includes tonkatsu with grated daikon or sauce, grilled salmon or mackerel, and a changing weekly special. One diner, writing about a meal on a particular day, said the ¥1,000 lunch was generous, with salad, tonkatsu, a fried prawn, pork soup, rice and three small side dishes. The contents may vary from day to day, but the tonkatsu and fish set meals on the menu are further options when you want a substantial lunch.

Fried chicken can also be enjoyed in the evening with a draft beer or a glass of wine. Lunch is served Tuesday to Saturday, and the restaurant is open in the evening on Fridays and Saturdays.
